Getting ready and Wedding Reception: La Speranzina Restaurant & Relais Wedding Ceremony: Church Santa Maria Della Neve
Melissa and Alex flew from Miami to Milan to rent a car and drive to Sirmione, Lake Garda, to have a beautiful wedding ceremony with their family and friends.
It was a special place because of Alex's Italian roots.
The only complication was a Hurricane Irma holding some of the guests from Cuba and USA at Miami airport. Thankfully Melissa and Alex arrived a few days earlier, and they were not affected. Some of the guests came from the airport straight to the ceremony. Still, in the end, everyone made it and turned the whole event into a memorable experience.
As always, I met the couple the day before the wedding to see each other in person, discuss the final details and to see the location.
We saw the getting ready venue and the dinner location.
And we met some local swans.
We also went to check out the nearby church of Santa Maria Della Neve which is just around the corner from La Speranzina.

Both bride and groom were accommodated and getting ready in La Speranzina Restaurant & Relais's luxurious rooms. Fancy having a private sauna among other perks in your room? This is the place to go.
Everything took place within walking distance, so some light rain didn't matter at all.
The religious ceremony at Church Santa Maria Della Neve was just behind the corner, one minute walk from La Speranzina Restaurant & Relais.
I don’t like to keep my couples on a couple’s photoshoot away from their family and guests for too long. Sometimes we even skip this part to focus on the flow of the day, emotions and relationships.
Thanks to the excellent wedding planners Melissa and Alex choose to organize the whole wedding celebrations, everything went smoothly. The couple didn’t have to take care of anything and could enjoy themselves and their guests.

La Speranzina’s MICHELIN Guide 2019 restaurant served superb meals, and you could even see their preparation in the kitchen.
Wedding speeches took everyone’s attention and brought tears of happiness to a lot of faces.
Let the party begin!
If there is anything you would expect to be exciting at a Cuban wedding, it would be the dancing and joyful party, but this party exceeded any expectations!
