Wedding in St. Emmeram's Abbey in Regensburg, Germany
Getting ready: St. Emmeram's Abbey
Wedding Ceremony: St. Emmeram's Basilica (Kloster Sankt Emmeram)
Wedding Reception: Courtyards of St. Emmeram's Abbey (Schloss Emmeram Park)
Laura & Alvaro invited me to join them and document their wedding celebrations in Regensburg, and I enjoyed every part of it.
It made sense to cover the whole weekend when the family and guests came from various parts of the world, and the program for them consisted of having a fun Friday night at the Bavarian beer tent tradition, Regensburg's smaller version of Oktoberfest, Saturday's wedding and Sunday brunch.
The wedding preparations took place in the historic center of Regensburg. Laura and her bridesmaids got ready at the premises of St. Emmeram Palace – the royal residence for the Thurn and Taxis dynasty.
The ceremony served at St. Emmeram's Basilica was truly breathtaking, followed by aperitifs in the courtyards of the Abbey. We didn't have to travel anywhere, and all was happening in one place just in different locations of the abbey, which is always convenient for everybody.
If there is one more thing to love about weddings, it's the parties. When the atmosphere is just right to throw a fun and joyful wedding party, you know the night is going to end up unforgettable.
